Similar to the “Ji Xiao Xin Shu” and “Chang Min Wu Ji Shu” manuscripts, the “Luohan Duanda” manuscript (at its core) seems to have also heavily influenced China’s northern based systems and Shandong in particular.
It’s interesting (although not surprising) to find similar references to 6636, 9981, “qi chang ba duan”, “ba gang shier rou”, etc…., in other current day Shandong systems like Taizu Chang Quan, Tong Bei Quan, etc… Wondering if similar frameworks also currently exist in other Shandong systems like Mizong, Fanzi quan, Chuijiao quan, Meihua Zhuang, etc… On an interesting side note I came across reference to groups of techniques in the Shanxi based Handong Tongbei boxing system also using 24 tifa, 24 chuifa, 72 nafa, 36 diefa, etc… Although it never mentioned the specific techniques.
